Returned Items Terms & Conditions

We have tried to make the John Hutchings terms and conditions for returning orders or product(s) as easy to understand as possible. Please take the time to read these carefully before proceeding with any returns.

If you are returning a product you no longer require for any reason

You want to return product(s) and it is up to 14 days after the date it was delivered to you :
  • Following The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them as you would do if you were in a physical shop.
  • You notify us of your wish to cancel within the above time frames and you have notified us within this period by completing the return request form below.
  • The product(s) you are wanting to return are in "AS NEW" condition and returned in the original packaging along with any accessories and free gifts received with individual

You can examine the goods as you would in a shop but, to obtain a full refund for the price you paid for the product(s) you are returning, you MUST NOT start using them or assemble them is such a way that they cannot be disassembled without damaging them or unable to be returned in the way in which you received them.

Once we have received your returns request, we will arrange for you to receive a returns authorisation document (RMA). If you select the option for us to arrange the return, then we will either email you a Royal Mail returns label (for smaller items),or we will send you a link to arrange a return via a DHL ParcelPoint for larger parcels. If the items are sufficiently large enough, we may need to contact you to arrange a collection. We will deduct the cost charged of our cheapest delivery service for this from your final refund.

If we arrange for your goods to be sent back to us using Royal Mail then the amount that will be deducted is £5.21. If we arrange for the goods to be returned using a DHL parcel point then the amount deducted will be £5.33. If we have to arrange for a collection, we will notify you of the charge for this when we contact you. We do not have any further control of these prices as these are pre-set by the couriers and are subject to change.

You want to return product(s) and it is over 14 calendar days from the day of delivery:
  • The product(s) have not been opened in any way, they have not been evaluated, inspected or fitted to anything (if applicable) and are still in their original packaging along with any accessories and free gifts received with them.
  • Your return request has been made with 30 days of the delivery date of your order.

You will need to arrange you own means to return the item using a delivery company of your choice. You will be responsible for any damage or loss to the returned product(s) if this occurs so it is your responsibility to ensure adequate cover is provided by your selected courier in the event of such loss or damage. Karcher Center JHS will not be liable for such losses should this happen.


If you are returning a product that is incorrect or incompatible

If the product(s) are incompatible or incorrect, and we have incorrectly described the product on our web page or we have advised you that an incorrect or incompatible product is suitable for your karcher product and we arrange for your goods to be sent back to us, we will not charge you for the carriage to complete this return.

If the product(s) are incompatible or incorrect, and you have selected a product that is incompatible or incorrect and you have not requested any advice from Karcher Center JHS regarding the products(s) and have indicated that you would like Karcher Center JHS to arrange for your goods to be sent back to us using Royal Mail then the amount that will be deducted is £5.21. If we arrange for the goods to be returned using a DHL parcel point then the amount deducted will be £5.33. Product(s) you have ordered are faulty or damaged

If it is within 14 working days from the day your product(s) were delivered to you

You can either fill in the form on the Return A Faulty Or Damaged Product page, indicating that the product(s) is "Dead On Arrival" or "Faulty" if the item is not working properly, and we will contact you to try and resolve the problem.

You can call us on 01502 563846 and talk to a member of our customer services team who will provide you with further help and assistance. Depending on the product(s), we may be able to take you through some simple diagnostics to make sure that it is not a problem that can be resolved quickly over the phone without having to necessarily return the product(s).

If the problem cannot be easily resolved over the phone or has ocurred over 14 days from the date of delivery

If the fault occurs within 30 days from the date of delivery, we will offer you a repair, exchange or refund at your discretion.

If the fault develops after 30 days from delivery but during the warranty period offered by Karcher/Karcher Center JHS, we will offer you a repair or replacement as directed by Karcher as Karcher Center JHS are acting as an agent for the purposes of the administration of the manufacturers warranty.

How do I return my faulty product?

Don't worry we will contact you to arrange a return of your faulty item either by email or in-person over the phone. You do not need to do anything we will do everything we can to help and make any return arrangements for you.


Refunds

Once we have received returned product(s) back from you, we will give you a refund for the cost of the product less any delivery charge you initally paid at the time of ordering. If we arranged your return, this will also be deducted from your final refund, if applicable. We may also make a reduction in the refund for any loss in the value of the goods if the loss is a direct result of use or unnecessary handling by you.

Refunds can take up to 3-5 working days to be credited back to your payment card or PayPal account once issued.
